Okay, for those of you that want a bit more information so you can justify it to the missus I’ll break it down for you. When I've had to drill 4″ wood screws into sandwiched 2×4's… yea, my drill was crying and I ended up finishing the screws by hand. You also never need to apply any downward pressure to drive screws.
