What I think I need to do (short of reinstalling the OS) is reinstall this group of network drivers (ksecdd.sys, srv.sys, rdbss.sys, mrxsmb.sys, the "RDR driver", ...). My systems don't have any files named "rdpss, but there are some named "rdbss", so I used that. The system with the problem is running Windows XP with Service Pack 3 and current updates installed.
