These references apply to using the original Mbox with Pro Tools LE 8.0-8.0.1 only, not with the standalone version 8.0.3 drivers. If you are installing Pro Tools 7.4.2 for Mac OS X 10.5.3, you should use the Digidesign CoreAudio included with your Pro Tools installation, not the standalone version. Deleted the MIDI driver and everything went back to normal.Why do they have to do that (install a MIDI driver without asking)?

A: The Digidesign CoreAudio Driver for Mac OS X 10.4 "Tiger" has not been tested with Mac OS X 10.3 or 10.2.
